Description
Thich Nhat Hanh states that "Climate change is an inside job." What does this mean? In order to create nourishing and regenerative business structures, we have to first look at our own relationship with money. Money is not inherently bad; it comes from Mother Nature, the provider of all things. When we have compassion for money and recognize it as just one of many strategies for meeting our needs, we begin to feel spacious around how this tool can be used in regenerative business development. This webinar will ground a discussion of basic human needs in the context of permaculture. Participants will then be guided through 2 interactive exercises to process and integrate with these ideas.
Financial Permaculture Summit 2013
Elyssa is one of the facilitators at the upcoming Financial Permaculture & Local Business Summit - Jan 21 - 25, 2013. Earth Learning, the South Dade Economic Development Council, Financial Permaculture Institute, and Miami Dade College will host community investment/financial experts, Permaculture designers and sustainability entrepreneurs for this dynamic gathering and Integrative learning experience to begin building resiliency in our community. We will address economic and ecological challenges of the 21st century as we explore creating money cycling, local investments, and forward-looking businesses that optimize the local natural systems and human capacities to implement models of regenerative business and local resiliency!

Elyssa Serrilli
For the past ten years, Elyssa has served as a experiential education facilitator and observer of humanity. Elyssa sees herself less as a teacher and more as a guide, letting experience be the real teacher. Her aim is for participants to experience ‘flow’ – the gift of being so engaged in an activity that they lose track of time, lose self-consciousness and self-judgment, and momentarily dissolve the illusion of separation. Elyssa guides participants through many activities that, at their best, create flow, including: adventure-based recreation (paddling, climbing, snow travel); nature and natural science-based exploration of woodlands, mountains and rivers; performance art; healing rituals; seasonal celebrations; community service projects; environmental regeneration; and the food alchemy of fermentation.
